Drive Slowly on the Range Road – 10 mph – No Dust!

The 2021 SASS Virginia State Championship was September 3rd, 4th and 5th 2021

The physical address for the Roanoke Rifle and Revolver Club is 1305 Gun Club Drive, Hardy, VA 24101.  Caution!  Some Maps/GPS programming are not accurate! The picture on this page is from Google Maps and it seems to be accurate.  Below are some additional directions to assist shooters in finding the range.

**Please Drive 10 mph or less on Gun Club Drive! No Dust!**

From Roanoke via I-81 and I-581 (If you are pulling a large camper/trailer, you may want to use the directions from Roanoke or Greensboro below due to the steep and windy road up Windy Gap Mountain):

• Take I-81 to I-581 and Exit on to Elm Avenue
• Turn Left onto Elm Ave. to 13th Street
• Turn Right onto 13th Street (Bennington Ave)
• Turn Left onto Rt. 116.  You will travel several miles up and over Windy Gap Mountain (Very steep and curvy!); after you descend the other side look for a convenience store on the left and prepare to turn left onto Truman Hill Road.
• After a left on Truman Hill Road, go 0.8 miles, you will pass Windy Gap Elementary School, and look for Gun Club Drive and RRRC sign on the Left.
• Turn left on Gun Club Drive (10 MPH or Less! No Dust!) You will go through the an open gate at the entrance and follow the range road to the Match HQ on Range C.

From Lynchburg or Bedford:

• Take US 122 to Hales Ford Bridge
• Go 5.8 miles from Bridge to Rt. 636/Hardy Road
• Right onto Hardy Road and go 6.0 miles
• Left onto Eaton Road (Rt. 634) and go 0.4 miles
• Right onto Truman Hill Road (Rt. 678) and go 6.1 miles
• Right onto Gun Club Drive (10 MPH or Less! No Dust!) You will go through the an open gate at the entrance and follow the range road to the Match HQ on Range C.

From Roanoke or Greensboro via US 220:

• Take US 220 to Boones Mill, VA
• In Boones Mill, take Boones Mill Road (Rt. 684) across from the Shell Station, near the traffic light and across the bridge and go 6.5 miles. (Boones Mill Road goes right at the stop sign)
• Left onto Rt. 116 and go 0.8 miles to a Right onto Truman Hill Road (Rt. 678).
• Go 0.8 miles, you will pass Windy Gap Elementary School, and look for Gun Club Drive and RRRC sign on the Left.
• Turn left on Gun Club Drive (10 MPH or Less! No Dust!) You will go through the an open gate at the entrance and follow the range road to the Match HQ on Range C.
